MBBS Admission
MBBS Admission
To secure admission to an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) program in India, aspiring medical students must first qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), a national-level entrance exam, and then participate in the counseling process for seat allotment.
- Candidates must qualify the NEET-UG exam with the required cutoff marks to be eligible for admission.
- The NEET-UG is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- It is the sole entrance exam for MBBS admissions in India.
- Candidates must prepare for the exam and appear on the scheduled date.
- After the NEET-UG results are announced, candidates are invited for counseling based on their NEET-UG rank.
- The counseling process is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota seats and by the respective state authorities for state quota seats.
- Candidates need to register online, fill their preferences, and participate in seat allocation based on merit, category, and availability.
- Once allotted a seat, candidates need to complete the admission formalities at the designated college.
