The following services are being provided by the department on a daily basis from September 2019
- Antenatal care : Women are registered for antenatal care as early as five weeks of gestation. They are provided with genetic counselling, antenatal screening including ultrasonography, counselling for diet, lifestyle modification, exercise and childbirth and periodic screening , immunisation and examinations.
- Reproductive Health Services: Women are provided services for common conditions such as Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB), Reproductive Tract Infections (RTI) and cancer screening.
Workup such as Transvaginal sonography and endometrial biopsy for AUB, vaginal swabs for RTI are performed in the OPD.
- Speciality clinics are operational for the following services from 23/12/2019
- Infertility and Reproductive Medicine: Monday
Infertility workup, treatment including ovulation induction, laparoscopy and
hysteroscopy and Intra uterine insemination is done.
- Maternal and Fetal Medicine: Tuesday
High risk pregnancy clinic provides care for maternal medical disorders including Hypertension, Diabetes, Hypothyroidism, Respiratory and Renal.
Women are provided with genetic counselling, screening and testing, both non-invasive (biochemical and ultrasonographic) and Invasive (Chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis)
- Cancer screening : Wednesday
Health education, screening for genital malignancies with cytology and video-colposcopy.
- Adolescent Reproductive Health : Thursday
Services for girls with reproductive health problems such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, primary amenorrhea and reproductive tract infections.
- Family Welfare and contraception services: Contraceptive services with short term, long acting reversible contraception and permanent contraception (Laparoscopic and Minilaprotomy female sterilisation)
Medical termination of pregnancy in the first and second trimester by medical and surgical methods is provided as well as `

In-Patient department
- Maternity Services:
Services for labor and birth are provided in a modern Birthing centre which was inaugurated on 29th January 2022 by the Honourable Director, AIIMS,Nagpur.
The centre has the following facilities:
- Triage (4 beds) : Women admitted to the Obstetrics department are triaged and managed according to GOI guidelines for triaging.
- Antepartum room (4 beds): Obstetric women for day care, NST etc.
- Birthing Rooms (5): Each room has an attached washroom with facilities for shower and is well equipped with birthing beds, Fetal cardiotocography with central monitoring facility, electronic infusion pumps etc.
All women are provided respectful maternal care with an accompanying person of choice, unrestricted mobility and a one-one care with trained nursing officers and 24x7 residents.
Neonatal resuscitation station is located near the labor rooms.
- Obstetric High Dependency Unit (HDU,6 beds): Women with high risk pregnancy are monitored and managed in the HDU, both in the antepartum and postpartum period.
- Obstetric Operation Theatre (OT), 2: All obstetric surgeries and procedure are done in a modular OT complex situated in the birthing centre. Rooms for pre-operative care (3 beds) and post-operative care (2 beds) are located near the OT.
- Women are provided with independent twin sharing or single bed occupancy rooms during the antepartum and postpartum period in an independent ward.
- Gynecological Services
Women are hospitalised in an Independent ward for benign or malignant Gynecological conditions such as Abnormal Uterine Bleeding including uterine Leiomyoma, Endometriosis, Uterine organ prolapse, infertility, Pelvic Inflammatory disease, Ovarian neoplasm (Benign and Malignant) malignancy of uterus and cervix . After a thorough evaluation, appropriate treatment is planned. Operative interventions such as open surgery or minimally invasive surgery is offered.
